INFORMATION
GENERAL
The BF series furnace operates at temperatures up to 1250ºC in air. It is MELLEN’s most popular box furnace and focuses on safety with the addition of a double-pivoting door design. This keeps the hot face of the door away from the operator during accessing of the inner chamber.
The furnace utilizes a reinforced, double-walled steel shell construction that provides a cooler exterior and maintains its shape after repeated thermal cycling. The shell is comprised of a welded steel frame with thick end plates for low maintenance and long life.
HEATING ELEMENTS
The furnace utilizes Flat Plate heating elements capable of 1250ºC in air. These heating elements are field-replaceable and are located on four sides of the internal chamber for optimal temperature uniformity. The elements are specifically engineered for fast heat up rate without compromising long life.
