Sight Glass
A sight glass can be used in any high temperature furnace to view a section, or the entirety, of the hot zone over a range of temperatures, from 0ºC to over 2000ºC. A variety of materials, such as sapphire, borosilicate, or quartz, can be used to provide high levels of clarity and transmissibility across the light spectrum. Sight glasses can be in any shape or location desired.
The industry standard sight glass assembly can be inserted in any of our high temperature furnace systems. MELLEN has also developed a new Thermal Distortion Free sight glass for use where the thermal distortion and heat loss from the standard sight glass cannot be supported, but the sight glass is desired or required.
