INFORMATION
GENERAL
The MELLEN Versa furnace operates at temperatures up to 1250ºC in air. It is designed for horizontal orientation with a special door assembly. The door to the furnace is a slide open style to allow for easy access. The operator may use a single finger or even an operated switch to open the furnace door at the push of a button.
The furnace utilizes a high temperature insulation pack and has a perforated shroud to provide a cooler exterior during use. The furnace is manufactured using CNC devices to ensure repeatability and accuracy.
The Versa furnace has options including
Electric Push Button (+$895.00) - Add an electric push button to the Versa Series furnace in order to automatically open the front door of the furnace and expose the hot face.
Active Cooling Technologies (+$1,395.00) - Advanced cooling for the furnace provides quick cooling when you need it. This technology is capable of cooling the system from 1000ºC to under 100ºC in 25 minutes or less.
HEATING ELEMENTS
The furnace utilizes Flatplate heating elements capable of 1250ºC in air. These heating elements are MELLEN’s standard with exposed APM windings in a rectangular ceramic holder on all four sides of the hot zone.
CONTROLLER
The furnace system comes complete with an integrated dual-display controller with 8 Ramp/Soak Programs with 8 Segments, two auxiliary alarm outputs, and RS485 communications standard. Different controllers are available upon request.
