INFORMATION
GENERAL
The MELLEN TT Tube Furnace is a premium, solid tubular furnace engineered to achieve excellent temperature uniformity within the chamber. This type of furnace is well-suited for most heating applications, and features MELLEN’s dependable shunt-type heating elements. It is designed to be energy efficient with excellent temperature uniformity, and is designed for temperatures up to 1200ºC. Single or multiple zone systems are available with high temperature firebrick or custom ceramic vestibules.
HEATING ELEMENTS
The furnace utilizes Solid Tube or REH winding heating elements capable of 1200ºC in air. The design of these “True Tube” heating elements offer protection for the workcharge from the elements; the coils are completely enclosed by the tube and the insulation pack, significantly reducing the risk of shorting the elements against the work.
This furnace has optional shunts along the heated length for more precise temperature control along the length of the furnace.
