INFORMATION
GENERAL
The MELLEN TD series furnace operates at temperatures up to 1800ºC in air. The TD Tube Furnace incorporates the MELLEN Structural Advantage to ensure reliability and durability. It utilizes a reinforced, double-walled steel shell construction that provides a cooler exterior and maintains its shape through repeated thermal cycling. The furnace comes standard with a single thermocouple port per zone and coated firebrick vestibules.
HEATING ELEMENT
The furnace utilizes Moly Disilicide heating elements capable of 1800ºC in air. The elements have specifically engineered surface-watt loading for longer life at elevated temperatures. The maximum temperature is dependent on the grade of the heating elements: Grade I at 1600ºC; Grade II at 1700ºC; Grade III at 1800ºC. The heating elements are field-replaceable for ease of maintenance and are precisely placed to radiate heat uniformly to the internal chamber.
CONTROLLER
Sold Separately. Phase angle fired (MELLEN PS305 or PS400) recommended.
