INFORMATION
GENERAL
The MELLEN SC series furnace operates at temperatures up to 1250ºC in air. The furnace comes with rugged, coated firebrick vestibules and thermocouple ports centered in each control zone. The reinforced, double-walled steel construction provides a cooler exterior. Both horizontal and vertical operation is possible. Easy replacement and low cost of heating elements make for an easy-to-use furnace.
HEATING ELEMENTS
The furnace utilizes Clamshell heating elements capable of 1250ºC in air, based on wire type. APM heating elements are capable of 1250ºC in air, while FeCrAl heating elements can achieve 1200ºC, and Chromel heating elements are capable of 1100ºC in air.
