INFORMATION
GENERAL
The MELLEN CF series furnace operates at temperatures up to 1250ºC in air. The resilient primary insulation is backed by high quality, low thermal mass ceramic fiber insulation for thermal efficiency. The furnace outer skin consists of a stainless steel shell that ensures maintenance-free durability. The top and bottom thick steel end plates are reinforced to prevent thermal distortion. The furnace is economical to operate and comes standard with coated firebrick vestibules.
Variable casters or leveling feet are available upon request.
HEATING ELEMENTS
The furnace utilizes Flat Plate heating elements capable of temperatures up to 1250ºC in air based on wire type. APM heating elements are capable of 1250ºC in air, while FeCrAl heating elements can achieve 1200ºC, and Chromel heating elements are capable of 1100ºC in air.
The elements in CF furnaces are field-replaceable for customer convenience, and located to provide uniform heating throughout the hot zone.
