INFORMATION
GENERAL
The MELLEN CC series crucible furnace operates at temperatures up to 1250ºC in air. MELLEN uses high quality, low thermal mass ceramic fiber insulation for thermal efficiency. The furnace outer skin consists of a stainless steel shell to ensure maintenance-free durability. The bottom steel end plate is reinforced to prevent thermal distortion.
Variable casters or leveling feet are available upon request.
HEATING ELEMENTS
The CC series furnace utilizes Clamshell heating elements capable of 1250ºC in air. There are three classifications of heating elements that this furnace uses; APM, FeCrAl, and Chromel. APM heating elements are capable of temperatures as high as 1250ºC in air, while FeCrAl heating elements can achieve 1200ºC, and Chromel heating elements are capable of temperatures as high as 1100ºC in air.
