Series 13VHD
Available only in our Vulcan line, this element combines the advantages of APM wire with the possibilities offered by our Vulcan design to create a long lasting element that in the majority of sizes will run on standard voltages. This element is perfect for people who are running at 1250 C or below but will be intermittently going as high as 1300 C. In many instances, this element will also provide acceptable service for people who need to run at 1300 C and also need to have a standard voltage (like 120 V, or 208 V). Advantages -
1. Large wire diameter means a
long life at 1200 C and good life at 1250 C.
2. Depending on diameter and
length the element can operate on standard voltages like 120 volts and 208 /
240 volts
Disadvantages -
1. Voltage depends on element
diameter and length
2. Reduced life at 1300 C
