Thermocouples
Mellen thermocouples are
temperature sensors that are composed of two dissimilar metals fused together
that produces a change in the voltage when heated. This change in voltage
is interpreted as a change in temperature.

composed of various metals for various temperature requirements.

Thermocouple Selection
Criteria
There are different
thermocouples for every type of temperature measurement. MELLEN strives to
provide you with the proper thermocouple for your applications. MELLEN
bases thermocouple selection on the following criteria:

Temperature Range
- what is the highest and lowest temperature you wish to measure?

Uses - what
substances are you measuring? what substances will the thermocouple come in
contact with?

Installation
Requirements - what chemical resistance, sheath material,
abrasion/vibration resistance, grounding and immersion needs do you have?
