Silicon Carbide Elements

Silicon Carbide elements are composed of high density silicon carbide.  Due to the varied needs of our customers, our Silicon Carbide elements come in a variety of forms designed for various high temperature applications.

SER Spiral Element -  the design reduces the cross sectional area in the hot zone, allowing for cool ends and hot zones.  While the SER element is rated at 1650^oC maximum temperature, it is ideal for continuous use in 1500^oC furnaces.

RR Rod Style Element - allows for a maximum temperature of 1538^oC, making it ideal for continuous use in 1400^oC furnaces.

Rod Style Spiral Elements - are designed for use in 1500^oC furnaces.

MELLEN offers optional "Clean Room" packaging allowing the elements to be shipped directly from our site to your laboratory.
