Mellen
clamshell heating elements are used in our split furnaces. The clamshell
elements use the heaviest gauge wire consistent with voltage requirements.
Power leads are doubled where they pass through
insulation in the MELLEN furnaces. Many temperatures are predicated on a
heat-up rate of one to two hours when 3-4 inches of quality insulation is
utilized.
