Microtherm^TM  Furnace Line

The Microtherm^TM Furnace Line are laboratory furnaces.  Each Microtherm^TM furnace houses a complete furnace unit, including a power supply and temperature control system, allowing for ease of use.  The Microtherm^TM  Line of furnaces can be designed to operate up to 1600^oC

  MELLEN offers five models of Microtherm^TM combined control system and furnace line.

■ Microtherm ECO^TM - The ECO line of Microtherms are designed as low cost, mini furnaces with optional dual chambers, and single chambers up to 2"x2"x2".

■ Microtherm MT^TM- The mini- tower designed line of furnaces are housed in their own casings, with carrying handle.  The MT line can be produced in either a box design (Microtherm MT Box Furnace) or in the tower design with a round bore (up to 5"x12" in size).

■ Microtherm IDT^TM -The Microtherm Box Furnaces are designed up to size 12"x12"x12" as an economic alternative to our Standard Box Furnaces.  Have you ever tried to put a square peg in a round hole? MELLEN understands that the  needs of a research lab vary on a weekly basis.  One week you will be processing low pressure tray based samples in a rectangular retort. The next week you need to run higher pressure tubular experiments. The week after that, it may be that you need a “D” shaped dome interior.  Up until now, you  could either spend funds on multiple furnaces or sacrifice the accuracy of your experiments by forcing one furnace to meet your needs.  Now, all that has changed with the MELLEN Microtherm IDT Furnace.  Using MELLEN’s IDT element technology, your furnace can have an 8” round bore one day and a rectangular 4” bore the next. We can even make custom shapes like D’s or even stars, if needed.  The best part is the elements and vestibule can be replaced in under thirty minutes!  The Microtherm IDT Furnace is designed with inter-changable bores for laboratory convenience. 

■ Microtherm Series 1550^{TM -} The Series 1600 line of Microtherms are designed as high temperature laboratory furnace capable of temperatures up to 1600^oC in air.  The Microtherm Series 1600 is a single zone, high temperature box furnace with integrated controller.

■ Microtherm Series 1700^TM - The Series 1700 line of Microtherms are designed as high temperature laboratory furnaces capable of temperatures of up to 1700^oC in air.  The Microtherm 1700 is a single zone high temperature box furnace with integrated controller.
