Elevator Furnace CD 17 Series Furnaces

MELLEN created an Elevator Furnace capable of lifting over 500 pounds, for the larger or more dense workcharges.  The Elevator Hearth Furnace has a high temperature of  up to 1700^oC.

The  high temperature, bottom loading furnace is capable of operating at temperatures up to 1700^oC in air.  The furnace utilizes 1800^oC molydisilicide heating elements.  The furnace utilizes an energy efficient insulation package consisting of graded ceramic-fiber, high temperature insulation.

The furnace is specifically designed with a ceramic fiber roof and rugged firebrick walls and hearth.  Thermocouple ports are provided in the furnace walls for temperature measurements in each zone.

The Furnace features a speed control for the elevator, allowing the user to adjust the speed accordingly.  The work is moved into the furnace with the motion mechanism.  There are motion lights to indicate elevator movement for use when extremely slow speeds are desired.  The speed measurement is electronically controlled, allowing for smooth motion and accurate, repeatable travel time.  The mobile elevator is capable over lifting over 500 lbs of work.

Safety switches provide for automatic stop when furnace elevator is opening and closing.

The elevator speed can be changed before, during and after the run, allowing for optimal ease of use.

MELLEN offers the CD16-12x12x12-1600^oC Bottom Loading Furnace as a standard furnace as well for smaller hearths as well as lower temperatures.
