Heat Shield

Mellen Heat Shields are designed for use in any of our retort assemblies.  The heat shield blocks the radiant energy inside the retort, to prevent the seal from overheating on the end of the retort.

Our retorts are available in with vertical (hanging) or horizontal configurations with appropriate placed hooks as required for use. 

MELLEN has two types of retorts designed for your applications:  metallic and insulation based.

• The metallic heat shield is designed for high temperature inert atmospheres.  Our low temperature metallic heat shield is designed for an oxidizing atmosphere.

• The insulation based heat shield is custom made for your application.
